Job description
The Implementation Specialist will be vital to our company’s growth and success. This role will report to the Implementation Manager and will work with a variety of internal stakeholders as well as directly with school and district administrators and teachers.The main role of the Implementation Specialist will be to organize, facilitate and provide resources for initial onboarding trainings and paid professional development sessions. Our ideal candidate is an experienced, high-achieving professional that is solution-oriented and understands the needs of World Language teachers.
- This opening is for a remote team Implementation Specialist residing in the state of Florida, with a territory that extends beyond Florida to include other states.
- Any candidate must be legally eligible to work in the US.
- Fluent in written and oral Spanish, French, German, or Italian and English – preferably Spanish and English
Key Responsibilities
- Promote the current language program(s) through the creation and execution of professional development and onboarding sessions.
- Collaborate with Sales and Adoptions team colleagues & school/district contacts to coordinate onboardings and paid professional development for schools and districts who are adopting KWL materials in both the U.S. and Canada.
- Travel to schools and districts to conduct onboarding and professional development (between 25%-30% but could be higher during peak times of the year).
- Provide exemplary customer service by building relationships, investigating problems, developing solutions, and making recommendations to management and editorial teams.
- Engage in post-sales efforts to increase customer satisfaction, including the curation of materials, PowerPoint presentations, handouts, standards correlations, PD videos, etc.
- Attend local, regional, and national conferences as appropriate.
- Create and give presentations.
- Support the Sales and Adoption teams in facilitating state-, district-, and school-level adoptions by developing a professional development program.
- Manage and organize contacts within a CRM, including Case Notes and the Training Module.
- Play a key role in procuring new customers and maintaining existing relationships, primarily by developing, promoting, and presenting KWL’s Professional Development offerings.
- Maintain the database of paid Professional Development presentations and account management for schools and districts using our paid PD.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Implementation Manager.
Qualifications, knowledge, and skills
- 4+ years of experience as a world language teacher in either K12 or Higher Education environments.
- Master of Arts/Sciences in World Language Teaching, Second Language Acquisition, Linguistics, or related field (e.g., Spanish Language & Literatures, etc).
- Near-native proficiency in one of the following languages: Spanish, French, Italian, or German.
- Familiarity and experience with language learning platforms, and different LMS systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, Schoology, etc.)
- Profound knowledge of the secondary and post-secondary education system.
- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, rapid growth environment.
- Demonstrable success collaborating on time-sensitive projects.
- Outstanding time-management and prioritization skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Special consideration will be given to applicants with:
- Experience in creating and delivering professional development presentations on best practices in world language pedagogy.
- 2 or more years of participation in academic or professional conferences.
