Job description
The Educational Technology Specialist will assist students, teachers, and other stakeholders with technical issues and support tasks related to digital orders, LMS integrations, and platform training for clients. The role reports to the Educational Technology Manager and will also collaborate closely with the Director of Digital Strategy and Development, and our World Languages Sales Consultants. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background and an understanding of the K-12/Higher-Education setting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide timely support through inbox and ticketing systems and escalate complex issues when needed.
- Manage digital orders across multiple world language learning platforms in both B2B and B2C environments.
- Deliver demo access and act as a subject matter expert for internal teams and third party EdTech partners.
- Lead technical onboarding sessions with district IT teams and support implementation with practical, solution oriented guidance.
- Train internal teams on platform use, code delivery workflows, and support procedures, in alignment with the platform PO.
- Report platform and editorial issues through Jira and Zoho Desk and collaborate with development teams to address them.
- Support webinars, major adoptions, and international integrations such as LTI and rostering.
- Coordinate with Marketing on platform updates and maintain clear and accessible documentation.
- Use platform analytics to identify usage patterns, engagement trends, and support needs that inform onboarding strategies, product prioritization, and customer success actions.
- Build and maintain operational dashboards or structured reports that synthesize licensing data, traffic metrics, and support statistics for internal stakeholders.
- Create email templates, develop use cases for recurring problems, and propose process improvements backed by data from support interactions and platform logs.
- Research and analyse the digital offer of the competitors.
Key qualifications
- Strong English writing skills, with preferred fluency in Spanish, French, German, or Italian.
- Experience managing client accounts and working with APIs, including REST.
- Clear and concise communication skills with a strong customer service mindset.
- Ability to interpret platform analytics, support data, and usage metrics to guide decisions, improve workflows, and anticipate customer needs.
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets, queries, and data extraction tools to prepare reliable and actionable insights for Sales, Editorial, Marketing, and Implementation.
- Adaptability to evolving protocols, platform features, and internal systems.
- Confidence leading virtual and in person training sessions.
- High technical agility and strong problem solving abilities.
- Ability to automate outreach using tools such as mail merge and evaluate its impact through performance indicators.
- Proactive, organized, and able to work independently.
- Strong writing and proofreading abilities.
- Based in the Chicago area.
