The Klett World Languages Award in Leadership and Program Innovation in Spanish and Portuguese
This award in collaboration with the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP) aims to recognize higher education programs that utilize innovative approaches to meet the needs of today’s learners and advance the study of Spanish and Portuguese.
Central States/Klett World Languages Grant for Project-Based Learning in World Language Education
This award in collaboration with the Central States: Languages for All aims to promote and reward the best project-based learning initiatives in the Central States region: innovative and impactful projects that empower students to engage with language and culture while fostering global citizenship and sustainability.
To bring more inclusiveness into the classroom, we created the Impuls Deutsch Grant for Amplifying Voices in German Studies. The grant aims to support German departments and instructors in bringing German speakers from either traditionally marginalized groups or other professional disciplines to campus.
The Klett Award for Sustainable Development Education in the World Language Classroom in collaboration with the Language Connects Foundation recognizes both language educators (K-20) and programs who have effectively incorporated elements of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into their classroom curriculum and projects, and in doing so promote global awareness and social responsibility among their students and peers, the world leaders of the future.
