Flamenco
Flamenco is one of the most famous art forms in Spanish culture. However, the stereotypical image of Spain as a country of bullfighting, sunshine, and "¡ole!" has obscured its true essence. In FLAMENCO, the journalist Clara de la Flor takes a look at the art form from its origins to the most modern experimentation. She also provides some keys to understanding the complexity of this music and discovering its styles or "palos." To finish off, it includes a selection of artists and songs that every flamenco-lover should know.
MARCA ESPAÑA presents to the world the new Spain: a creative, international society aiming for a high quality of life for all its people. Each book tackles a distinct theme, from art to cuisine to the business world. The text is accompanied by photographs, a footnote Spanish glossary, and another glossary in several languages at the end of the book, plus a variety of activities. Lastly, it comes with a CD containing the full text and a video.
