Till Eulenspiegel
This book is about the famous German prankster who lived in the Middle Ages. Even as a child, Till Eulenspiegel was very unpopular in his home village because of his rude jokes and sharp tongue. As a young man he traveled and earned his living as a shoemaker, baker, blacksmith and tailor. Everywhere he went he left after a short time, leaving anger, laughter and confusion in his wake. When he was old he emigrated to Holland. There too he continued to chatter and make fun of people. Finally he went home and even on his deathbed he was still making jokes!
