Theo is 14 years old and lives with his Mom in a small apartment. When his aunt Britta loses her job, she moves in with Theo and his Mom. To make matters worse, his aunt wants to open a small beauty salon in his room in order to earn money. Theo is annoyed and wishes his family had more money. Everything would be better if they were rich: they could move into a big house where everyone gets their own room, and Kim, the pretty girl from school, might finally notice him, too. When Britta participates in a quiz show, Theo's dream suddenly becomes reality, but he quickly learns that money does not make everything better.
